I was out for a drive this evening when I spotted this trio of old Citroens off GA 36, a few miles north of Jackson GA. Unfortunately no one was around to answer any questions.
This Series III DS looked to be in the best shape of the three. The body has been repainted but the interior is trashed and there is a rust hole in the driver's side floor pan large enough to pass a croissant through.
According to the inspection sticker, the DS came to Georgia by way of Texas. The sticker shows the car was last registered in a year ending in "5" (1985 perhaps?) Maybe someone more familiar with Texas inspection stickers can enlighten us.
Beside the DS was this CX25, which was never officially imported into the US. This car was in pretty sad shape.
And hidden behind the building, possibly in shame, was an American-spec Citroen SM. This was the saddest of the three. Gaze upon 40 years of decay Citroenphiles, and weep.
Note the NJ tag on what's left of the MG next to the SM.
In addition to the MG parked in back, there were two others in slightly better shape a few yards from the DS and CX.
Not a bad day's car spotting IMO.

I was just informed that all three cars are in fact being restored by Funcars of Georgia.

At first. I as sad. Now, I'm so happy! Glad these cars are getting love!
